FAIRFAX, Va. — Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, announced that David Wilson, P.E., LEED, has joined the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina, office as a senior mechanical engineer in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) department.

Wilson joins the firm with three decades of experience. He most recently worked as a master mechanical engineer at SSOE Inc. in Durham, North Carolina. While there, he was responsible for all project phases from conceptual design through construction and commissioning. Wilson was responsible for budget development, load calculations, system design, document preparation, oversight of junior design staff, and specification writing for industrial, laboratory, and cleanroom projects. He spent many years working for a variety of clients, including those in the automotive, higher education, food and beverage, and science and technology industries.

Wilson joins Dewberry to work in the health care market with a specific focus on laboratory design. His primary areas of responsibility cover a variety of project types, including renovations and new construction.

“Dewberry’s footprint in the health care market is significant, and I’m looking forward to playing a role in that and finding ways to better serve our clients and create efficiencies in their systems,” said Wilson.

In 1989, Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Platteville. He is a professional engineer in Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
