Cambridge Engineering named Gene Slavens as regional manager for the southwestern United States, furthering the company’s expansion into commercial cooling with added focus in the region.

Slavens brings 34 years of experience to Cambridge Engineering, most recently serving as regional account manager for the western territory of ClimateMaster. At Cambridge, he will lead growth and relationship building in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, and California.

“Gene is an experienced leader with a strong reputation for going the extra mile to help customers identify reliable indoor-comfort solutions that save energy and costs, while creating more productive workplaces,” said Doug Eisenhart, vice president of sales and marketing for Cambridge Engineering. “We are thrilled to have him serve as our central figure for introducing Cambridge’s new evaporative cooling technologies to new markets across the southwestern United States.” 

A veteran in the commercial construction industry, Slavens has built a career serving contractors, businesses, and architects across the U.S. southeast and southwest as a regional sales manager and representative, masonry consultant, and project manager and estimator. He holds degrees in construction management from North Lake College and East Texas State University.
