Dewberry recently announced that John Fleming, P.E., QCxP, has joined the Peoria, IL, office as the mechanical engineering department manager. He will be responsible for project management, technical and quality control, and business development.

With more than 25 years of experience in mechanical engineering, HVAC, and plumbing, Fleming has worked with a variety of clients in different markets, including education, healthcare, commercial, and government. Before joining Dewberry, he served as a senior engineer and led teams of engineers with extensive experience in project development and delivery, and quality control.

At Dewberry, Fleming is currently working on a new 32,000-sq-ft combined city hall and police department building that is pursuing LEED® Silver certification in Cook County, IL. He is also working on various mechanical projects for a major industrial client and an HVAC upgrade project for several office buildings on a federal campus.

Fleming earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
