AMCA seeks committee members for Standard 500-L revision

IndustryNews
February 7, 2017

The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) is seeking technical committee members for the revision of AMCA Standard 500-L, Laboratory Methods of Testing Louvers for Rating.

AMCA Standard 500-L covers the performance testing of louvers. The standard establishes uniform laboratory test methods for louvers. The characteristics to be determined include, as appropriate, air leakage, pressure drop, water penetration, wind driven rain, wind driven sand, and operational torque.

Committee members would be expected to participate in the drafting, review, and resolution of any and all comments on the standard until the revised standard is approved by the membership. Most (possibly all) meetings will be by conference call via GoToMeeting.

For more information regarding this publication or to volunteer for this committee, contact Erin Moore at emoore@amca.org or (847) 704-6285 by March 6, 2017.
