Smart Building Summit coming to San Antonio

Industry News
February 23, 2015

The 2nd Annual Smart Building Integrator Summit is set for June 8 in San Antonio. This pre-conference event, held the day before IBcon 2015 and Realcomm 2015, will be presented at the Marriott Rivercenter from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event is open to system integrators and consultants from HVAC, IT, AV, multimedia, digital signage, sighting, security, and industrial controls who are now ready to go to the next level in intelligent building design and delivery.

According to event organizers, the industry is rapidly evolving and technology is driving that transformation. It has evolved from a single building/one system approach to an integrated, interoperable strategy involving not only buildings, but also portfolios, campuses, and cities. This rapid change has led to a significant knowledge gap for traditional integrators who aspire to succeed in the burgeoning smart building space. There is a need to understand why and how to fill this gap and, further, how facilities services organizations need to adapt to the new market requirements.

The objective for SBIS is to provide globally insightful and relevant educational curriculum focusing on best practices for IT, analytics, data visualization, cybersecurity, data governance, client intelligence, network design, and legacy system integration. The event will also provide the opportunity for networking and collaboration with industry peers.

The Smart Building Integrator Summit is an invitation only event for the integrator community. For those who wish to attend, RSVP to Cheri Parr to be added to the attendee list. Those interested must be a registered conference attendee for IBcon or Realcomm. Go here for more information.
