Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing in Chicago has won the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The Torch Award is presented to companies that strive to be leaders in their industry through a solid commitment to honesty, trustworthiness, and fairness in the day-to-day work of their businesses.
The recipients of the 2015 BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics were evaluated by an independent panel of judges from the business and academic community. In order to be considered, Torch Award nominees must submit a completed entry that includes examples of high ethical standards of behavior and practices; marketing, communications, and sales practices which reflect true representation of what the company offers; acknowledgement of ethical marketplace practices by industry peers and in the community; management practices and policies; and training programs for employees.
According to officials, Four Seasons earned the award by fostering a reputation of trust with their customers and by creating a workplace environment that furthers growth and provides opportunities to succeed at all levels of the company.
"When it comes down to it, the core of our ethical policies is founded in compassion and responsibility. A functional HVAC system is not a luxury. In the extremes of the Chicagoland climate, it simply can be dangerous to do without,” said David Musial, owner and CEO of Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing. “We understand that our neighbors don’t just want our services, they need our help. It is our duty as professionals to use our skills to provide relief and aid for any family living without heating in the winter or cooling in the summer. But, the 2015 BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics doesn’t actually belong to me or Four Seasons; it belongs to each and every Four Seasons employee who brightens the lives of hundreds of thousands of customers and each other day in and day out…Our incredible employees are the ones really making a difference."
