Triatek CEO named Business Person of the Year
The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce (MAC) recently named Jim Hall, CEO of Triatek, as its Business Person of the Year (BPOTY) in the Emerging Entrepreneur category. Triatek is under the umbrella of Water Shadow Enterprises, LLC, which also includes the company Pure Wireless.
MAC recognized metro Atlanta’s top entrepreneurs at the annual BPOTY awards held at the Ritz Carlton Atlanta. MAC received more than 100 applications, which were narrowed down through an application process to four finalists in the Emerging Entrepreneur category.
“Metro Atlanta is blossoming with innovators, intellects, and dreamers that are driving our region forward,” said Nancy Whatley, vice president of Entrepreneurial Development at MAC and BPOTY judge. “One of the best parts of judging this competition is having the opportunity to see the richness and depth of Atlanta’s entrepreneurial spirit.”
According to officials, Halls’ leadership brought Triatek out of Chapter 7 bankruptcy and transformed the company into an industry frontrunner producing innovative products for hospitals and labs. Hall also helped to foster an environment where engineers felt free to create, leading to huge design jumps and increased product usability for end users.
Triatek designs and manufactures specialty air valves and air pressure controllers for hospital isolation rooms, operating suites, and research labs. Triatek’s products control the directional flow of air within critical room environments, helping to protect patients and healthcare workers from airborne contaminants.
