AHRI releases heat pump standards
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute has published two new standards covering commercial heat pumps. The standards include Standard 1300 (I-P) - 2013, Performance Rating of Commercial Heat Pump Water Heaters; and Standard 1301 (SI) - 2013, Performance Rating of Commercial Heat Pump Water Heaters.
AHRI officials said the new standards cover commercial heat pump water heaters with input capacities less than or equal to 50 kW. This includes all three phase products and single phase products not covered by the Code of Federal Regulations.
