Automated Logic Corporation Acquires RCMS Controls, Inc.

June 2, 2010

Automated Logic Corporation, a provider of innovative control systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and energy management of buildings, has acquired RCMS Controls, Inc. (RCMS), an independent controls contractor with offices in Wallingford, CT.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.  Automated Logic Corp. is a subsidiary of Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

RCMS, an Automated Logic dealer since 1990, designs, installs, and services building control systems for higher education, commercial, and institutional facilities throughout Connecticut. RCMS principal Bob Marra and the firm’s management team will continue in their respective roles.

“It was a natural fit for RCMS to become a branch office for Automated Logic,” said Lauren Kolb, president, Automated Logic Corp. “We have had a strong partnership for over 20 years and share the same core business values of technology leadership, employee development and a commitment to customer satisfaction.”

“This is a great opportunity for all our employees and customers,” added Marra.  “We built our business with Automated Logic over many years, and moving forward as part of their family is an exciting next step for our business.”
