Record Attendance at Chiller Systems Group Boston meeting

November 7, 2007

The Chiller Systems Group, a network of independent contractors throughout the U.S. dedicated to knowledge sharing and training to provide building owners the highest level of chiller service, presented its fall meeting this past fall in Boston.

The group announced that the event, hosted by EMCOR Services Northeast of Stoughton, MA, was attended by 110 members and guests representing independent contractors from all over the United States.

Also, the Group announced the addition of new members Jackson and Blanc of San Diego, CA, Sno Valley Process Solutions of Spokane, WA, Metro Mechanical Service, Inc. of Las Vegas, and Elliott-Lewis Corporation of Philadelphia.

The meeting included presentations by York International, McQuay International, Optimum Energy, RPC, Midwest Parts, Hudson Technologies, and Alignment Specialties.  Member Vito Costanza of Industrial Cooling, Inc. of Freeport, NY made a presentation on his company’s successful project retrofitting a York OM chiller with a York Optiview control panel and a new proprietary PLC programmer.  Bryan Strode of Entech Sales & Service of Garland, TX introduced 18 technician training classes scheduled specifically for Chiller System Group members in the upcoming months.

Classes include teardowns for centrifugal and screw machines for multiple manufacturers, control panel service for multiple manufacturers, Joy fan service, and vibration analysis.  The Group announced the introduction of new website capabilities that will give members additional capabilities to share technical data and better serve their customers.  The Group’s 2008 spring meeting will be held April 17-19 in Irvine, CA and will be hosted by Mesa Energy Systems, Inc.

The Group works with chiller manufacturers to provide members technical training and information in a timely manner.  Meetings are held semi-annually to exchange technical data, best practices, and stay current on manufacturer and supplier capabilities.  In addition to the semi-annual meetings and training, members share technical information daily through an e-mail user group. The Group is comprised of 45 independent contractors who specialize in chiller systems service, with its members performing service annually on over 10,000 chillers.  For more information, visit www.chillergroup.com.
