Distech Controls announces the acquisition of a majority stake in SystemHouse, to form Distech Controls Europe
Distech Controls Europe BV will focus on developing Distech Controls’ position in Western Europe and will be responsible for product sales and market development.
Distech Controls announced the acquisition of a majority stake in SystemHouse BV, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to form Distech Controls Europe BV, which will focus on developing Distech Controls’ position in Western Europe and will be responsible for product sales and market development.
Johan Schakenraad, the current president of SystemHouse, has been appointed president of the Distech Controls Europe BV. SystemHouse is an established building automation solutions distributor in the Netherlands that had also begun sales development in other European countries. The synergy created by Distech Controls Europe, will allow Distech Controls to build from SystemHouse’s current distribution channel and market knowledge, and will reinforce Distech Controls’ position in European countries. Furthermore, Distech Controls Europe will provide Distech Controls’ European clients with local support and services as well as local product offerings as to peripherals.

With the creation of Distech Controls Europe, Distech Controls, Inc. now counts a European entity, as well as a previously established direct sales and support office in China, six sales offices worldwide and over 10 master distributors located in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
