NADCA Welcomes New Member to its Board of Directors and Announces Hall of Fame Inductees

March 31, 2022

NADCA, the HVAC Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Association recently welcomed Charles Cochrane back to its Board of Directors. Cochrane was officially inducted at the association’s 33rd Annual Meeting & Exposition in Aurora, Colorado, in March.

Cochrane (pictured in the middle in the above photo) is currently president of Cochrane Ventilation, Inc., a commercial ventilation cleaning and indoor air quality firm founded in 1950 in Wilmington, Massachusetts. He previously served on the Board of Directors and was elected president in 1996.

In addition, Cochrane has chaired and served on NADCA’s Standards, Certification, Education, and International Committees. He is actively involved with reviewing and evaluating methods of air duct cleaning with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He holds his Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) and Certified Ventilation Inspector (CVI) certifications and is a long-standing member of NADCA. Other professional affiliations include the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), and Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE).

“We’re delighted to welcome Charlie to the Board of Directors,” says Jodi Araujo, CEM, NADCA's Chief Executive Officer. “He brings diverse experience and leadership in the HVAC system cleaning and inspection industry and is committed to strengthening mission-critical solutions for our members.”

Additionally, during the association’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition, NADCA’s Board of Directors chose new inductees for the Hall of Fame based on nominations received for individuals who have demonstrated commitment to the industry and/or the association, as well as those who have made exceptional contributions that have furthered the growth, reputation, and character of the air duct cleaning industry as a whole.

On March 21, 2022, NADCA announced the association’s 2020 and 2021 Hall-of-Fame inductees:

  • Rick MacDonald (pictured top left, Armstrong Duct, Vent, Hearth & Home, Manchester, New Hampshire; NADCA member for 30+ years)
  • Raffaele Caruso (pictured bottom left, NADCA's Italian partner organization, AIISA, since 2006)
  • Michael Vinick (pictured top right, Duct & Vent Cleaning of America, Inc. Springfield, Massachusetts; NADCA member for 30+ years)
  • Mike White (pictured bottom right, Clean Air Systems of LA, Inc., Shreveport, Louisiana; NADCA member for 30+ years)

NADCA’s 34th Annual Meeting & Exposition will be held March 27-29, 2023 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, Louisiana.
