Mitsubishi Electric handed out awards and attendees learned about commercial and residential products and their marketing at Mitsubishi Electric U.S. Inc. Heating and Cooling Division’s annual Diamond Leadership Conference at Atlantis resort in the Bahamas.

The Diamond Leader of the Year Award went to Wilmington, Massachusetts-based Homans Associates.

The Business Unit Diamond Leader Awards are presented to commercial and residential companies in each of Mitsubishi Electric’s five business units. The Central commercial business unit went to Habegger Corp. of Cincinnati. The Central residential business unit winner was Wichita, Kansas-based O’Connor Co. The Northeast residential winner was BellSimons Cos. of Hartford, Connecticut. The Northeast commercial business unit winner was Homans Associates. The South business unit winner was Laurel, Maryland-based Aireco Supply Inc. The Southwest residential business unit winner was Houston-based Johnson Supply. The Southwest commercial business unit winner was Gulf Coast Air Systems LLC of Lafayette, Louisiana. The West residential business unit winner was Tacoma, Washington-based Gensco Inc., and the West commercial business unit winner was Air Treatment Corp. of Brea, California.

“We’ve put a great deal of energy into building a strong distribution network, offering them the knowledge, training and support they need to provide the quality and innovation they have come to expect from Mitsubishi Electric,” said Mark Kuntz, Mitsubishi Electric’s senior vice president and deputy general manager. “Moving forward, we strive to continue to strengthen our network and apply best practices in leadership and sales strategies, which in turn will result in even better outcomes.”

Forty-three Crowning Achievement Awards and 23 Crowning Achievement Millionaires Club Awards were also presented at conference.

More than 500 distributors, manufacturers’ representatives and employees attended the event, officials said.
