Florida contractor installs heating and cooling in veteran's home

March 5, 2018

Johnson Controls and a Florida contractor gave a U.S. Air Force captain’s new home a heating and cooling system.

Pensacola, Florida-based Barnes Heating and Air installed a York heating and cooling system donated by Johnson Controls for Air Force Capt. Nathan Nelson’s new home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and celebrated with a Dec. 16, 2017, ceremony.

“The support of companies like Johnson Controls and its high-quality York heating equipment and contractors like Barnes Heating and Air enable our organization to reach more injured veterans in need and help them begin to rebuild their lives,” said Chad Gottlieb, director of construction development with charity Building Homes for Heroes.

Building Homes for Heroes is a national organization that builds or renovates mortgage-free homes and donates them to severely injured veteran nationwide.
