Utility urges duct sealing to save energy
With the Raleigh, North Carolina, area suffering with record cold temperatures like much of the U.S., a local TV station’s report recommended duct sealing as a way to fight the weather.
Utility company Duke Energy was quoted in the story as recommending insulating any ductwork in attics or garages with at least 6 inches of insulation, and sealing HVAC ductwork seams and joints with compound.
