Fabtech announces keynote speakers

TV host, animator to talk about challenges

August 8, 2017

A Discovery Channel TV show co-host and a Pixar story consultant are among the speakers booked for this year’s Fabtech, scheduled for Nov. 6-9 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Richard Rawlings, co-host of “Fast N’ Loud” on Discovery Channel and founder of hot-rod shop Gas Monkey Garage, will speak Nov. 7 on the importance of risk-taking.

Matthew Luhn, who is one of the original writers at Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios, will speak Nov. 8 on how to create a company culture that encourages new ideas.

“It’s hard to believe that a reality television star and a Pixar storyteller are our keynote speakers this year, but that shows how far our industry has evolved,” said John Catalano, Fabtech show co-manager and SME senior director. “Their presentations will provide a fresh and entertaining look at what attendees can do to achieve further success in their careers and political lives.”

Fabtech is one of the largest sheet metal forming and fabricating events in the U.S. Registration information and other details are available at www.fabtechexpo.com.
