Carlisle Cos. has bought Drexel Metals Inc., a maker of architectural standing-seam metal roofing products. Terms were not disclosed.

The Louisville, Kentucky-based Drexel has facilities in Florida, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Annual sales are estimated at $50 million, Carlisle officials said.

Drexel will be a unit within the Carlisle Construction Materials division.

Carlisle President and CEO D. Christian “Chris” Koch said Drexel is a good addition to the Carlisle roster of companies.

“Drexel Metals provides Carlisle Construction Materials a complementary addition to its range of roofing products and systems as well as access to new end markets and sales channels,” Koch said. “Drexel provides an excellent foundation for additional growth investment in a growing roofing products sector. This acquisition is consistent with CCM’s strategy of expanding into premium products for the building envelope in attractive growth sectors. We are very pleased to welcome the Drexel Metals team to Carlisle.”
