ASHRAE has put out updated versions of its standards covering refrigerants.

The society’s standard No. 15, “Safety standards for refrigerants systems,” and No. 34, “Design and safety classification of refrigerants,” cover design, construction and use of refrigeration systems in residential, commercial and industrial use.

Among the changes to the HVAC market refrigeration standards:

●Updated safety requirements

●New design-pressure requirements

●Three new refrigerants and 27 new blends are now covered
