Air Movement & Control Association seeks to revise standard

December 23, 2016

The Air Movement and Control Association is looking for members to join a technical committee.

Committee members will be tasked with revising the association’s standard No. 550-D, “Laboratory methods of testing dampers for rating.” The standard sets damper testing methods. Members will study air leakage, pressure drop, dynamic closure and operational torque.

Those on the committee will help draft the standard and review comments prior to submitting the new standard to AMCA members for approval. The association said it expects most meetings will be conducted remotely over the Internet.

For information, contact Erin Moore at emoore@amca.org or (847) 704-6285 by Jan. 7, 2017.
