Manufacturing Day adds to sponsor list
Manufacturing Day organizers say three offshoots of the group formerly known as the Society of Manufacturing Engineers have endorsed this year’s efforts.
SME, the SME Education Foundation and Tooling U-SME are gold-level sponsors for the event, which takes place Oct. 7.
Manufacturing Day encourages companies to hold open houses and sponsor programs to boost the profile of careers in the industry. Sponsors include Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International, the National Association of Manufacturers, the Manufacturing Institute, the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Industrial Strength Marketing.
“The co-producers are grateful for the continued, dedicated support of SME and its affiliates, which are so committed to serving the manufacturing engineers of the industry and helping to develop the next generation of industry professionals,” said the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association President and CEO Ed Youdell. “Their reputation and their reach to professionals in the industry, as well as educators and students, will help to generate participation in Manufacturing Day events across the nation.”
