Emcor picked as Aflac Partner of the Year
Contractor lauded for green HVAC work at headquarters
HVAC construction company Emcor Services Aircond has been named Aflac’s Partner of the Year for its work on the insurance company’s Columbus, Georgia, headquarters.
Emcor installed a building automation system that boosted the energy efficiency of lighting, HVAC, scheduling and operations at Aflac’s 1 million-square-foot Georgia campus. Last year, Aflac saved $190,000 on its energy bill, and says it has saved $8 million since 2007 thanks to the green HVAC and other improvements installed by Emcor.
