Ductmate starts green HVAC business unit
Ductwork fabrication and HVAC construction products manufacturer Ductmate has started a new business division, GreenSeam Industries.
Officials with the Pennsylvania-based HVAC market company said the division will incorporate Ductmate Industries’ spiral pipe and fittings products for low-pressure green HVAC systems.
The new unit’s sales and marketing efforts will be led by current employee Mark Smith.
Ductmate launched a pipe and fittings line in 1999 and overhauled the offerings with the debut of its patented GreenSeam factory-sealed ductwork fabrication products in 2006.
GreenSeam substantially reduces installation by eliminating the need to seal ductwork after installation.
Smith has been with Ductmate in sales, marketing and product development positions for 17 years. He holds a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design building design and construction certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and serves on several HVAC market boards and technical committees.
