Builders show house features green HVAC market technologies
Attendees of the International Builders’ Show, now under way in Las Vegas, will have the chance to see the latest in green HVAC construction technology at the New American Home.
The newly built house is four bedrooms and 5,891 square feet. It includes ideas that builders can use at any price point.
"Tyler Jones and the team at Blue Heron have done a great job creating a home that offers something for everybody — builders and remodelers, architects and designers, product manufacturers and consumers," said Tucker Bernard, director of the National Association of Home Builders Leading Suppliers Council. "Housing industry professionals who tour this home are going to leave Las Vegas with a lot of great ideas that they can start using immediately."
Among the zero energy building features included in the green HVAC design and home are photovoltaic panels, a weather-sensitive irrigation system that adjusts usage relative to the immediate climate, high-efficiency water heaters, hydronic HVAC market air handlers and low-maintenance building materials.
The builders show runs through Thursday at the Las Vegas Convention Center and a shuttle is provided to the home’s site in Henderson, Nev.
