Building automation systems and relative components can now be covered for 10 years from the time of installation, thanks to a new extended warranty plan from Trinity Warranty.

Company officials say HVAC systems are becoming more sophisticated, as the need for more green building operation is required. These systems can be complex depending on the size of the building, its architecture and the kind of activity inside.

CEO Peter Dikeos said the company saw a need to develop this unique protection plan, despite the challenges involved.

“Developing and pricing a suitable building automation warranty product was a challenge,” said Dikeos. “Traditional ESAs (extended services agreements) for HVAC equipment installations are available, but we saw a new and growing need for warranty services to protect against automation system malfunction or failure.”
