ACCA publishes new technical bulletin
HVAC construction contractors can now identify and evaluate air barriers and vapor retarders or barriers in older homes, thanks to a new technical bulletin published by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.
Titled “Residential Vapor Retarder and Air Barrier Retrofit Primer,” the new bulletin introduces contractors to traditional installation practices for vapor barriers and retarders, so they can identify misapplications. It also contains information that can help contractors resolve moisture issues related to building assembly failures.
