Former ACCA chairman dies
Former Air Conditioning Contractors of America board chairman Maurice "Maury" Jacobson died June 30.
He was 93.
Jacobson was chairman of the HVAC market group in 1975. He also served on a code enforcement panel in South Palm Beach, Fla., and was elected mayor of the same city three times.
"Maury was an insightful member of the HVACR community and I always enjoyed spending time talking to him," said ACCA President and CEO Paul T. Stalknecht. "His dedication to our industry and his local community is unrivaled by most people. His presence will be greatly missed."
A memorial service was to be held July 3 Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach, Fla.
Instead of flowers, the family suggested a donation to Trustbridge/Hospice of Palm Beach County or the Blinded Veterans Association.
