Hilmor announces 2014 HVAC market scholarship contest
HVAC construction toolmaker Hilmor is expanding its “Retool Your Future” scholarship program.
For this year, six students will win a $5,000 scholarship, Hilmor HVAC market tools and a trip to the 2015 AHR Expo in Chicago.
“Hilmor created the Retool Your Future program to support the next generation of HVACR technicians and help students build a successful future in the HVACR industry,” said Andrea Halpin, the company’s senior marketing manager. “Last year’s program was a great success, producing some very inspiring stories from more than 550 submissions. We want to build on that success by awarding more winners and expanding the contest to Canada.”
Winners will also receive a HVAC construction tool starter kit, with items such as the company’s dual-readout thermometer, service wrenches and a tool bag. Schools of contest winners will get a “Green Wall” from Hilmor, which includes more than 40 Hilmor HVAC market tools valued at $5,000.
Current HVAC construction school students can enter by visiting www.RetoolYourFuture.com. The contest runs through Sept. 30. A 250-word essay is required.
