Grands Rapids, Mich.-based Proos is investing $5.7 million in expanding its company, which was first established in 1919. 

 

The metal fabricator — which will be adding 50 jobs to its current workforce of 83 employees — plans on expanding its fabrication operation, Proos Fabrication, and its stamping operation, Proos Manufacturing, officials say.

 

“Managing growth is just as challenging as managing decline,” said Amy Proos, CEO of Proos. “However, with the assistance of the Right Place, MEDC (Michigan Economic Development Corp.) and the city of Grand Rapids, Proos is now able to start another exciting chapter of our 94-year history.”
