Emerson introduces compressor to meet 2015 HVAC efficiency standards
With new regional HVAC efficiency standards set to be introduced in 2015, Emerson has introduced a new Copeland compressor to meet the HVAC market's new requirements.
The sixth generation Copeland Scroll ZPK6 compressor has transient sound reduction improvements, an improved motor, and what Emerson Climate Technologies officials say is better gas management technology to enhance performance.
“As the industry prepares for significant regulatory changes, Emerson is committed to supporting its OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and contractors with technology that will help them provide systems to meet and exceed the new 2015 regional efficiency standards,” said Frank Landwehr, vice president of marketing and planning at Emerson Climate Technologies’ air-conditioning business. “The next generation of Copeland Scroll compressor models is a valuable addition to our current residential air conditioning lineup.”
