The National Environmental Balancing Bureau has decided to seek certification for its certification programs, the association announced.

The NEBB will seek approval through the American National Standards Institute. According to the NEBB’s board of directors, the move will strengthen its programs.

“We see this as an investment in the future of our certified firms, professionals and technicians,” said Stanley Fleischer, the NEBB’s current president. “It is important that NEBB remains the certification of choice for industry professionals and their customers.”

Incoming 2014 President Robert Linder, P.E., agreed.

“This aligns perfectly with our recently approved strategic plan and I am looking forward to leading our organization through this next logical step in our growth,” he said.

More details will be given during a presentation at the group’s April 3-5, 2014, conference in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
