Sokkia Corp. has introduced the DX-105AC Plus, a robotic total station designed to offer a feature-rich unit that can be operated by one person.

“The DX robotic solution sets the standard for design, performance and price at the entry level of the robotic total station market,” said Denny Welch, senior vice president of the survey business unit.

A new DX auto-tracking kit is installed on a USB memory stick, allowing it to be installed on any standard unit. Existing standard units can be upgraded through a firmware update.

“The upgrade can be made easily at any time–a unique, and ideal solution if you have not used robotic total stations, but wish to make the switch,” Welch said. “Add a 360-degree prism and Mesa data controller with Magnet (version) 2.0 and you have the perfect entry-level robotic package.”
