AHRI now approving unit coolers
The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute now have a certification program for unit coolers, which are typically used in refrigerated warehouses.
This is the association’s 39th certification program.
“As with all products in our certification program, AHRI-certified unit coolers provide the assurance that manufacturers’ performance ratings for the equipment have been independently verified,” said Bill Tritsis, the association’s vice president in charge of certification.
The units are tested using AHRI’s standard No. 420, “Performance Rating of Forced-Circulation Free-Delivery Unit Coolers for Refrigeration.”
