9 that R-407A refrigerant has been OK’d for use in some Copeland Scroll
refrigeration compressors.
Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. announced June 9 that R-407A refrigerant has been OK’d for use in Copeland Scroll refrigeration compressors in medium- and low-temperature situations.
“With the phase-out of R-22, the commercial refrigeration industry continues to explore alternative refrigerants,” said Leland Smith, director of refrigeration marketing at Emerson Climate Technologies. “Providing our customers with the option to use R-407A with Copeland Scroll compressors in their OEM equipment will enable them to fully benefit from this refrigerant’s capacity and efficiency performance, as well as its lower global warming potential.”
