ACCA schedules Internet programs
The Webinars will be
about helping
member commercial contractors get energy-service agreements.
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America will hold a series of Webinars during December on helping member commercial contractors get energy-service agreements.
ACCA officials say such agreements are a good way to earn money during a slow economy. The sessions, set for Dec. 2, Dec. 9 and Dec. 16, will give an overview of energy services contractors can offer, explain energy benchmarks and assessments, and demonstrate how to sell energy services.
Technology company AirAdvice is co-sponsoring the sessions.
Offering such services allows ACCA members to position themselves as experts, said Air Advice President and CEO Jim Crowder.
“Building owners may cut service contracts because they’re seen as a luxury that doesn’t generate cash flow,” Crowder said. “But today’s service agreement is about a value proposition as it pertains to energy.”
