Trumpf to stop building press brake in Taiwan
Trumpf is
discontinuing Taiwan production of one of its press brakes.
International machinery and tools maker the Trumpf Group announced Tuesday it is discontinuing production of one of its press brakes in Taiwan.
In a cost-saving move, the TruBend 3000 series, a group of medium-size brakes, will no longer be made in the Asian country, company officials said. It will continue to be built in Pasching, Austria.
Twenty workers at the plant near Taipei will be laid off.
