Podcast features Fabtech preview
Show organizers are talking about Fabtech in a new Internet broadcast.
A new Internet “podcast” offers views on the state of American manufacturing and a preview of October’s Fabtech trade show.
Mark Hoper, expo director with sponsors the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association and Burke Doar, vice president of sales and marketing for Trumpf Inc., talk with host Ken Rayment about the concerns of manufacturers and why companies should attend the Oct. 6-8 show in Las Vegas.
More than 20,000 people and 800 companies are expected to exhibit at the event.
During the podcast, Hoper explained that Fabtech has become a must-attend event for manufacturers.
“Fabtech has become the gathering point for the forming and fabricating industry,” he said. “All of the sponsors and the show itself offer numerous networking opportunities for people to discuss issues. Manufacturers can see thousands of pieces of equipment on the show floor to help them improve their production efficiencies and stay competitive in the global market.”
The Las Vegas locale, a new venue for Fabtech, should boost attendance, Hoper added.
“When we moved the show to Atlanta, seven of the top 10 states (represented) were from the Southeast,” Hoper said. “We hope by going to Las Vegas that we will attract manufacturers from Texas, Arizona, California and Washington as well as states east of the Mississippi.”
