United Rentals has opened three specialty stores. 

United Rentals Inc. recently opened HVAC and power equipment locations in Tacoma, Wash.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Beaumont, Texas.

"Our growth strategy is shaped by the needs of our end markets, where we see increasing demand for temporary power and climate control equipment," said Paul McDonnell, senior vice president for the company's trench safety, power and HVAC divisions. "Our expertise in these areas is an opportunity to strengthen our customer relationships beyond the range of general construction services."
