Emerson has changed the name of its European Copeland operations to Emerson Climate Technologies.

The move follows similar actions in the Americas and China.

The Copeland brand will continue to be used on equipment such as scroll compressors and condensing units, officials said, adding that no jobs are being lost or plants closed because of the change.

“Emerson has a strong presence in the global marketplace as the company that brings technology and engineering together to create the best solutions for customers,” said Jean Janssen, president of Emerson Climate Technologies in Europe. “The Emerson name will communicate our strength as a global organization, while using the high brand recognition of the Copeland name with our products will showcase our breadth of offerings.”
