How building owners and construction companies use technology is the focus of this year’s FMI-Construction Management Association of America survey.

Construction consultants FMI Corp. and the CMAA are encouraging building and construction company owners to visit www.keysurvey.com/survey/156512/2358and complete the 20-minute online survey.

This year’s poll, the eighth annual, will look at how information technology is affecting project collaboration, officials said.

“Owners drive the construction industry,” said Marise Mikulis, an FMI consultant. “It is their push for innovation that has helped the industry progress, continuing the search for solutions that improve the delivery of capital projects. Any information that can be gathered from this select group is invaluable in helping to gauge the future of the industry.”

The survey Web site is open through July 13. Those who complete the survey and supply their contact information will receive a copy of the report.

Results will be presented at the association’s Oct. 7-9 national conference in Chicago.
