Armacell says its new AP Spiraflex duct-lining application eliminates the need for encapsulating films or heavy dual-wall systems. The AP Spiraflex is the first 100 percent fiber-free elastomeric duct liner made specifically for spiral ducts, company officials say. The easy-to-install duct liner is made from elastomeric foam and has a smooth, flexible backing that can fit securely against the duct wall. The insulation application weighs 20 percent less than dual-wall ducts with fiberglass, the company says.
