CertainTeed’s ToughGard Ultra-Round fiberglass duct liner is now available for spiral duct use. This duct liner features a durable, fire-resistant black composite air stream surface, which allows for easy installation in spiral air ducts. It also has improved acoustical performance and may eliminate the need for pins and adhesives in most straight duct sections, officials say. ToughGard Ultra-Round helps absorb equipment and air noise, and provides thermal-insulating properties that help control condensation to help improve indoor air quality. It also lowers HVAC operating costs by reducing energy consumption, officials add.
