HVAC, roofing company celebrates 125 years
N.B Handy Co., a Lynchburg, Virginia-based HVAC and roofing company that has been privately owned by the same family since it was founded in 1891, is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.
“We are proud stewards of our family legacy and the employees, customers and vendors who have helped to forge our great company,” said Bruce Christian, secretary of the company’s board of directors. “All through our anniversary year, we will be celebrating with the many people who have shared our success. Our family story is long, and it extends into the industries and people we serve.”
N.B. Handy sells to commercial and residential contractors in HVAC and roofing throughout the mid-Atlantic and southeastern United States.
A birthday party, fundraising event was to be held April 1 at every N.B Handy location, which gave employees the opportunity to give back to their community through the company’s Handy Helping Others organization, officials said.
