SMACNA Greater Chicago holds first sheet metal forming and HVAC market trade show
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — It was a new date and a new name for this year’s sheet metal trade show.
Now known as the SMACNA Greater Chicago trade show, it was held April 22 at the Drury Lane theater complex. The Chicago-area chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association was previously known as SMACNA Chicago and before that, the Chicagoland Sheet Metal Contractors Association.
It was about a month later than the show has traditionally taken place, and organizers said they were hoping the new date would be a hit with attendees and exhibitors. It should mean weather for the show is a little better, but being spring in Chicago, it could go either way.
