Contractor, manufacturer team up for grocery spiral duct project
An HVAC contractor from Ashland, Va., looked to MKT Metal Manufacturing when it came time to supply gasketed spiral duct for a Whole Foods in Virginia Beach, Va.
The owners and designers of the Whole Foods project were looking for a clean profile for the duct run. They also insisted on a sealed, flangeless spiral system.
With the project on fast track, the company turned to MKT Metal Manufacturing Inc. in York, Pa., to meet the time constraints. MKT was able to estimate, manufacture and ship SPIRAmir gasketed spiral duct.
Contracting company officials said MKT came through with the tight schedule, and the SPIRAmir product met their client’s requirements for a “non-flanged” system.
