Danfoss opened the first test chamber of its new Engineering Tomorrow Application Development Center in Tallahassee, Florida. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to inaugurate the chamber, which can accommodate air-conditioning systems up to 12.5 tons.

U.S. shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps totaled 425,882 units in October 2016, up 7.3 percent from 396,922 units shipped in October 2015, according to the latest statistics from the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
Shipments of central air conditioners increased 14.2 percent, heat pumps increased 31.1 percent
