The LEX3N-TZ temperature control steam trap is ideal for use in tracing applications where low-temperature heating is required, including winterization, instrument, and low-temperature tracing; freeze control on manifold drains; condensate control on tank coils; and high-temperature air venting that allows subcooled condensate, the company says. A built-in auger removes scale and buildup from the valve seat during operation, preventing steam leakage and loss of temperature control. It is recommended for typical high contamination services, such as copper tracing. The trap has an adjustable temperature setting between 120 degrees and 390 degrees F, which allows the trap to be used on steam service as an automatic nonfreeze valve or as a high-temperature air vent, the manufacturer states.
