ATLANTA - Abrams Industries, Inc., an energy management, construction services, and real estate company, announced that Servidyne Systems LLC, its wholly owned energy management subsidiary, has acquired the operating business and assets of Atlanta-based iTendant Inc., a provider of service request and maintenance software to commercial building owners and operators.

According to Abrams, the iTendant platform is a comprehensive Web and wireless maintenance and service solution that connects property owners, managers, engineers, tenants, and service providers in order to improve communication in building operations. The system enables customers to more accurately track, measure, and act on service requests and routine maintenance schedules, and creates an environment where all parties interact collaboratively to improve workflow, says the company.

Alan Abrams, co-chairman, president and chief executive officer of Abrams Industries, stated, "We continue to seek ways to broaden the scope and value of our facility services and offerings, and iTendant brings a first class software development team to Servidyne, as well as a prestigious customer base of Class A commercial office owners and managers. We are very pleased to offer our customers a user-friendly Web-based application with wireless connectivity. Augmenting Servidyne's maintenance expertise and service offerings by incorporating iTendant's Web and wireless capabilities will allow us to meet the demands of our larger corporate customers, who increasingly require portfolio-wide reporting and better ways to use wireless devices for managing scheduled and unscheduled work orders and for facilitating rapid response to service requests."
