New residential gas/electric package units feature heat exchangers made with 409 stainless steel. Other features of the units include copper tube-aluminum coils, externally mounted gauge ports, a galvanized steel cabinet with weather-resistant finish, and coil guard. Integral base rails with forklift access and convertible discharge for either horizontal or downflow applications are available on most models. The package units come with a five-year parts limited warranty. The 10-SEER units have five-year compressor limited and 10-year heat exchanger limited warranties. The 12-SEER units come with 10-year compressor limited, 25-year heat exchanger limited, and no-hassle replacement warranties. The units are available in the Heil, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Arcoaire, and KeepRite brands.
