 ASHRAE says it’s proposing a standard to bring some rules to building ratings programs by establishing minimum requirements for program labeling. 

 The app allows HVAC sales technicians to view measurements and create reports.

 There were 218,000 new homes for in July, representing a 5.2 percent supply at existing sales levels, the association said. 

“The industry interest and input into developing this standard has been tremendous,” said Tom Watson, chairman of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers committee that wrote the standard. 

 The group says it will urge members to offer tours and other events during the month to boost the profile of manufacturing careers. 

 The HVAC market event will cover topic such as finding employees, scheduling and using technology. 

 Board goals will include developing sales and marketing strategies based on the industry impact of ASHRAE’s new white paper on filtration and air cleaning. 

 HVAC market and HVAC construction contractors or others who purchase the models are eligible for the rebate. 

 The Application Engineering Bulletin contains operational and service guidelines that HVAC construction contractors can access instantly.
