Park Place Technologies Names Dave Cox COO

Park Place Technologies
September 26, 2019

CLEVELAND — Park Place Technologies announced Dave Cox has joined the company as COO. In this role, Cox will oversee all global operations for the company, helping to scale recent growth and maintain Park Place Technologies’ commitment to innovation while continuing to deliver superior customer service.

Cox joins on the heels of rapid global growth for the company. In July, GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm, agreed to sell a stake in Park Place Technologies to Charlesbank Capital Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm. Following this news, and an impressive 24-month acquisition streak, Park Place Technologies announced in August its acquisition of Entuity, a network analytics software provider and the company’s first acquisition outside the third-party maintenance space. Most recently, Kathie Lyons joined as executive vice president and general manager of ParkView™, filling a new role overseeing the company’s strategic business unit, which focuses on hosted automated monitoring services for data centers and software.

“We’ve had strong momentum over the past few months as we create new and exciting opportunities for our organization and customers. At the same time, we are bringing seasoned, top-notch tech leadership talent into the fold to amplify our abilities even further,” said Chris Adams, president and CEO of Park Place Technologies. “Dave brings more than 15 years of highly applicable senior management and operations experience to the Park Place leadership team. He has an impressive track record and clear vision for taking our organization to the next level. Dave is a strategic addition and critical player as we continue to grow our business beyond third-party maintenance.”

“As a market leader, Park Place Technologies has demonstrated its innate ability to expand rapidly without compromising its focus on driving customer value and cultivating a highly desirable company culture,” said Cox. “I see tremendous opportunity ahead for Park Place Technologies, its customers, and partners. I am eager to work closely with Chris and the entire leadership team to expand our global footprint while enhancing our customers’ experience.”

Before joining Park Place Technologies, Cox served as chief customer success officer at fintech software provider eFront, helping to transform the company’s function holistically by implementing tailored management programs to streamline operations and staffing. Prior to eFront, Cox spent nearly 11 years at EMC across support, professional services, and consulting. His responsibilities ranged from driving strategy to operational transformation across EMC’s global services organization as well as business unit P&L leadership. Additionally, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Co., where he focused on the high-tech sector. He also spent eight years in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer.
